What consumers see on a food label: What it means

Consumers obtain nutrition information from a variety of resources, including health professionals, the media, and food labels. Based on consumer research conducted by the International Food Information Council (IFIC), the IFIC Foundation, and others, attendees will receive an overview of the challenges and opportunities for communicating via the food label, including such topics as trans fat and health claims, and emerging issues such as carbohydrate and calorie labeling as well as serving sizes.
